Alexander Auerbach is the Editor and Publisher of The Profit Chain.
Alex has been a communications professional for more than 30 years, with a strong background in business and technology.
He started his career as financial writer for The Boston Globe. He then joined the financial news staff of The Los Angeles Times, where his articles were syndicated to newspapers worldwide. He also was a correspondent for The Economist and the United States Information Agency.
Alex later held senior management positions at two Los Angeles-area magazine publishing companies.
Alex has served on the Boards of Directors of an early-stage supply chain management software company, a privately held consumer products company, and a NYSE MKT-listed food manufacturing company where he led the Special Committee that oversaw the company’s sale to a strategic acquirer.
Alex has an MBA from the Anderson School at UCLA, and a BA from Columbia. He has received a number of awards for his professional communications activities.
